Traveling by motorbike in Vietnam means a lot of stopovers, resting while amazed by the landscape, encounters with curious locals, and sometimes some mechanical problems depending how old is your bike… From years riding his motorbike and from all these moments Fredo Binh has created real friendships with families from the different ethnic cultures he has met on his way.
Nowadays, more than a simple network of homestays, we introduce you to a network of friends opening their homes and sharing their intimate moments with you.
The families will welcome you warmly but simply, always of good cheer. Take the chance to share your respective cultures and participate in a unique experience, knowing that your stay will bring benefits to yourself and the whole community.
The homestays, are traditional family houses, always clean, set with mattresses, bed sheets, mosquito nets, and western-style sanitation (western toilets and hot showers).
LAVIEVULINH education, environment and eco-tourism is our sustainable development project located 170 km away from Hanoi, on the bank of the biggest lake in northern Vietnam, Thac Ba.
With just 3 candles recently blown out, the project is the result of a long friendship between Fredo Binh, Freewheelin’tours founder and director, and Mr Thuong, ceremony master of Ngoi Tu village form the Dao Quan Trang ethnic group.
Together they built the Ecolodge with the aim to make guests discover the Dao culture and the beauty of this misread area, BUT also with the aim to offer the local new generation a chance to learn about responsible tourism, and help them to develop their skills in a sustainable project. This should give them the opportunity one day to take the reins of the project and to be active members in the young touristic economy that grows in their province and their country.
LAVIEVULINH host about twelve students coming from the Dao ethnic group and also from other ethnic group.
To stay for one night or several days, find all informations about our Ecolodge on the website : http://lavievulinh.com
